The course enables participants to prepare for intermediate level courses.

The objectives of the course are to:

1. acquire understanding of the role and importance of the WTO in the MTS;
2. acquire knowledge of the main disciplines and rules contained in the WTO Agreements, including main legal and economic underpinnings;
3. build capacity to find relevant information and documents on WTO-related issues;
4. Establish a network of professional contacts with other participants and WTO experts.

Course level: Basic level.

Pre-requisite: Proficiency in the course language.
